Floorball

What is floorball?

Floorball is one of the fastest growing sports in North America and across the world!

THE SPORT

Floorball, a type of indoor hockey, is a team sport developed in Europe that is rapidly spreading across North America. The game, recognized by the International Olympic Committee can be played on most surfaces, including wooden gym floors, tile floors and rubber mat flooring, which makes it a year-round activity for both amateurs and professionals.

The sport itself is a fast and exciting game that promotes end-to-end plays with quick transitions and fluid game play. The rules stress the importance of safety and sportsmanship and are designed to limit the chance of injury without decreasing the speed or skill of the game.

Floorball is a great cross training sport and is used by many professional athletes to stay in shape during the off-season. It incorporates skill-sets that are transferable to a number of different sports

EQUIPMENT

Sticks are engineered for superior stickhandling, ball control and shooting. They are lightweight, inexpensive, durable and non-marking. A floorball stick should reach about two centimeters above the belly button of the player.
